this blog is super not updated. super dusty. and if it were a house, no one, not even any houseworker with a pay of half a million would want or even attempt to clean it up.

So because today's exam, and people shouldnt be wasting their time with unnecessary activities, ive decided to break that rule and create a Medical Guiness World Record by updating my blog.

check list :

Wasting time : check
Tomorrow's exam : check
Unnecessary activity : check.

yup, definitely, i have made it. the record is mine.

So here, Id like this post to be my official boost to start updating again. O hang on, ive said that before, n i stopped updating, so noooo, I wont say it again. I take it back. Ill update whenever I want to. Eventhough Im blabbing to myself, this is good. it feels good. Something feels good.

haha. yea yea watever.

the end.

Glory Glory Manchester United :P

Silence. Everyone's silent, biting their nails till the buzzer goes off.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1, TIME OUT. Manchester United Wins.

Fans explode with happiness, the Arsenalies sigh in defeat, Liverpoolians withstand humility as Manchester match Liverpool's mark of 18 league championships,

and everywhere, Manchester United is chanted.

So they won, theyre the topic of the males. The pockets of coffee shop owners are filled, cigarettes are smoked. Some get into war, either a war of words, hands, or weapons, some celebrate with dignity.

This is the atmosphere when someone wins the EPL. Having Manchester United as the winners, well that just makes things alittle bit more exciting.

So here and there, fans are celebrating.

And in Alex, the excitement is felt too. Amongst many normal medical students, bored faces and yawning mouths, Manchester United is still standing tall. haha.

* i am not a fan of Manchester United, nor any other football club. I just love the buzz. And no, I dont think Ronaldo is as gay as many think he is :) *

Allah's horses

Ever heard, read, or watched the story Black Beauty? If you havent, then please do. Because until you've heard, read, or watched that, this is what you would do to Allah's creation, The Horse.

Its disgusting the amount of torture these people do to the horses. Its a horrible act. The horse is so tiny compared to the load it has to carry. It has to walk through traffic, dust, noise, horns, and heat. Its nose sometimes just touching the boot of a car.
This is cruelty.

Mostly, the horses I see here are so thin, their ribcages can be seen, their legs scratched with marks and painful scars that are present due to its owner's beating, and also due to the tight bars that are so closely put near their legs. During feeding, their heads are put into a bag which contain their food, and whilst eating, they still have to work.
When can they rest? When can they breathe? When can they not feel pain?

Even we humans cant stand the buzyness of this city at times, its noise, its dust, what about these poor little horses? They probably work from morning to evening without rest.

I wish I could change this. I wish I could abolish this act of cruelty.
Its inhumane.

These are Allah's horses, they shouldnt be treated this way.

*Someone has to stop this. I wish I could. *

lets fight to be that someone :)

Today, we only had one practical class. Anatomy. If it wasnt for anatomy, we would be singing in the sun and frolicking on the beach. That would have been nicer. So at 12, off we went to the anatomy department. Today, or can I sum up as this sem, its all about the muscles. And here, Id like to officially say, it is tough. Remembering muscles, nerves and the things that come with them, its tough.

So after anatomy, we went off for lunch, and had some juice with Nabila. Lemon juice, kaw i tell you. mantop! Whilst sipping my lemonade, at the street where Shaz and Ika stay, school busses passed us. And at first I thought it was a group of schoolchildren who were just shouting and not sitting still in bus. It was only when 3 buses passes, and the same thing happened, that made me curious as to what those children were so excited about.

I put down my lemonade, and went outside. To see this.

This is cute. haha. It reminds me of my sekolah rendah days. But only, we didnt get to do this on the buses. It reminds me of my innocent, naive times.

The times when no problems even stepped into my life. The times when I would get in trouble because of stupid things. It reminds me of my no-responsibility days, it reminds me of my stress-free ways.

Plus, this picture reminds me of my grandparents, who'd when I was small, would always constantly be on my side, "manja"ing me, giving me so much love and attention. An old wrinkled hand would give abit of their life to a small innocent hand.

I miss them. I wish we had more time together.

Then we decided to go search for our house for next year. Today seemed like a busy day for the arabs. The roads were packed, and the cars were everywhere. The air seemed static, not so cold, not so warm.

We decided to stop at the masjid before searching. Game' Ibrahim is such a cooling and peaceful place. Rasa tenang sangat bila duduk situ. Feels like theres no place on earth as peaceful as that small worship space. Next door, the men, our Muslim men are praying. Outside everyone are hard workers, inside here, everyone's completely lost in their Lord.

Away from the buzyness of the city,

someone is praying, someone is remembering his Lord, someone is thankful, someone is grateful.

Alhamdulillah. Lets fight to always become that someone, inshaAllah :)

i hate you.

Everyone’s looking for housemates. Some have problems in searching housemates, some don’t. So lets sit down, think about what we’ve done to others, before we throw the blame at them for not liking you or picking you as their housemate. And to those who have chosen their housemates, you have a big responsibility to carry on your back now. You’ll have to tolerate, be patient, and withstand all kinds of behavior from each of your housemates.

Everyone’s different. Love them for their difference.

So, without all of the above, this is what would happen when two hearts clash.

“I hate you. I think you should go to hell. ”, said person A in a shrieking voice.

“Oh yeah, well I hate you too, and I hope I don’t meet you in hell.” , said person B in a similar shrieking voice.

Often we’ve muttered these words, and often, with these words, we cause so much hurt and pain to someone else. Most of us have probably had this conversation at least once in our lives. Maybe twice, maybe thrice. Many of us fret over the weaknesses of others, often criticizing and mocking them, whilst they themselves have many ugly weaknesses to start with. Remember, for everytime we point a finger to someone, three fingers point back in our direction. ((try it out))

When someone comes to us, screaming and yelling, we blow up, possess all the symptoms of inflammation, ie ;hotness, redness, swelling, and then within minutes, BOOM, it goes from acute to chronic. Our brain cells undergo necrosis, causing us to forget how to think. We start to yell back, and there you have it, a friendship goes through the apoptosis process.

We take many things for granted in our life. We take air for granted. We take it for granted that the sun will rise again. Similarly we take it for granted that the friendship will never suffer. But that is false. If we don't water the plant of our friendship regularly, our friendship will suffer and we may create distance with our close friends.

Friendship is about sharing good times, bad times, smiles and tears. Friendship is made of sharing trust, honesty, and love for each other. Friendship, ukhuwwah, is about uniting hearts.

And for those who have fought with their friends, left them, or hated them with all their hearts,

Come on, grow up. Forgive and forget.

May Allah bless our hearts, and unite them together like two papers stuck with “gam gajah”. :)

I miss.

I miss my Umi.

I miss her, her smile, her laugh, her cookings, her ramblings. But most of all, I miss her Love, her warmth, her hugs, her kisses,

I miss my Baba.
I miss him, his smile, his laugh, his moustache, his bald head, his jokes. But most of all, I miss his Strength as a Leader, his warmth, his smell,

I miss my Adiks.

I miss them, their smile, their laugh, their bongokness, their ways, their cheekiness, their noise. But most of all, I miss the adik kakak fights, their cute asses, their small growing moustaches,

Theres a time in life where we have to stop.Pause.We need to rethink our ways. Often, happiness comes in so many ways. And often when we're overwhelmed with such happiness, sadness takes over.

Here, Id like to share a story, a story about friends. Might be made up, might not be made up.
Here it goes.

A and B are close. Getting closer by the day. Then when u think things could not get any better, a problem hits home real fast. A gets mad with B because of a minute, small misunderstanding.

This small misunderstanding turns into something big, huge.

A stops talking to B. Starts ignoring B. A starts to act differently with B. When B speaks to A, A turns on a deaf ear.
B tries to solve matters. B tries to give time and B tries to understand.

In the end, things get awkward, and that friendship changes.

"That pure friendship is now tainted with anger and hatred. "

Moral of the story : Please, please treasure your friends. They're the pearls in your life that are hard to find, and yet easy to be gone.

Thank you.

jaga mulut tu..

The Arabs dont understand Malay. Well, most of them dont. So as Malaysians, we've got the upper hand. We can speak all the Malay we want without them understanding right?

So when an Arab cuts the queue in Fathallah, we can say " Oi, mamat ni, menyampah betul la, orang tunggu lama kot, nak kena belasah ke?", without him understanding or even noticing even the slightest.

When we're in the tram, and this one Arab brushes past us, causing us to either stumble or fall , we can shout out "buta ke, tak nampak ke orang kat sini, takde adab betul".And again they will understand nothing.

When we're in a shop, and the shopkeeper is telling lies and putting the prices up all high, just because our faces look all innocent, naive and Asian, we can mutter under one breath, "ingat kita bodoh ke, tak tau harga ke?", and then leave the shop with a smile as bright as the sun whilst saying "ba'dain sa'arji' henna".

These are just a few examples of the things we do when the Arabs get on our nerves. But little do we know, that these small actions can become bad habits in the near future. Imagine what would happen in Malaysia when we say something like the above to someone who is queuing up in Mydin. We would long gone be dead.

A story for me to share. One of my friend's teacher, went to London with his friends and was on the bus, on their way home. A fat British guy came into the bus, and took up a lot of space, and started leaning and brushing pass them.

They got annoyed, uttered swear words, critisizing the man. Amongst the things they said were, "eh bapak ar, gemuk nak mampus, mcm b**i, main lalu je kena aku, etc etc etc."

Then when the guy reached his stop and wanted to get down, he said in return " eh tepi ar, ni b**i gemuk nak lalu".

Speechless were they.

The Moral of the story : Take care of your mouth because there might just be another Malay speaking Arab in the middle of nowhere.

Be proud of your language, but use it wisely. And, this habit, is a habit that might not be so easy for us to get rid of.
So before we get our bottoms kicked in Malaysia, and before us Malay students studying in Egypt get critisized for our lack of moral, we should try to get rid of this habit slowly.

Prevention is always better than cure right..?

Good luck with changing that habit! :)

harakah and babies.. :)

When many talk about the ups and downs of politics, reading harakah and utusan, contemplating on the perak issues and cursing the government, whilst many are revising their green annoying thin but full of facts community medicine book, and whilst some of our seniors fret out their disagreements towards the university's management causing instant havoc amongst us alex students (i havea few rebuttals to that senior's article, but am too scared to voice out incase he fights back, says I betray my own race, and war starts :P ), we, well, we the people of aras 4, maintain their coolness and cuteness.

Here is a story for you to enjoy, to show how the coolness and cuteness are maintained at all times....haha.. watever :)

Her name's Nor Hidayah binti Jamal..We call her DJ or dayah J.The need to put a J at the back of her name is because we have the task of differentiating two dayahs..Yes we have two dayahs. One called DayZ the other DJ...So this is her. Cute kann..?

She has a baby.

the baby daddy...well, lets just leave that a mystery...Maybe an Alex boy, maybe not... :)

u see, this baby doesnt really belong to belongs to someone else, but dayah, being the inborn mother she always is, stole this baby in the middle of the night when all residents of this yellow brickhostel were off to lala land..

so dayah went out one night childless, and came back with a baby, a very cute pink baby...

eversince, this baby has been roaming the land of aras 4..she steals the computer and the tv, she steals our blankets, she takes up the toilet and all the hot water in the morning, she hogs the real player everytime when on the laptop.

plus many more very annoying habits..

Pictures to prove such acts...

On the other hand though, occasionally, dayahs baby has been very helpful, especially in the kitchen...

and when we're in the midst of studying and being tortured by boredom, she'll study along with us, just to keep us company..

and she also prays, look, awwww, she's praying...she's so good and obedient at times, its probably because of the many ceramahs and yassins her mum's taken her to...

but most of all, this cute baby is hawwwttt.. haha...
a tip for buying bday gifts : altho we girls seem very fussy and love expensive beautiful goodies, its not always like that. this cheap but adorable baby is a great bday present for us girls. haha.

In the end, its ONLY and ALWAYS the thought that counts kan.. :)

ba ba bones..

Anatomy practicals are all about bones..Well at least for the first sem they were..
Everyweek, we'd gather at that huge hall, and divide into groups..My lecturer happens to be the coolest one,
and the only guy too..Every time, he'd have someone bring him a peppermint tea, which he'd always offer us to drink too. we'd smile, nod, and say no thanks..
after taking one sip, with all of us staring at him, he'd then explain why he drinks such tea.its apparently because peppermint tea reduces some stomach pain he has in the mornings...

What a cool Prof Dr Muhammad he is..

Before this course, Id always think about how fun but in the same time scary it will be to be learning about bones.
U noe, theyre dead peoples bones, isnt that supposed to be scary..It belongs to someone who's already dead, and what happens if u accidentally broke his/her bone, or made fun of it, or, well anything really.Id always have these visions of them coming and haunting me in the middle of the night, strangling me with their...umm...bony fingers???

So yeah, that was then..

Now, me and my fellow bones are best frends forever (very cliche)..seriously, we are..They sometimes sleep under my bed, not on the bed, because, well, Im still a teeny weeny bit scared that the above scenario I just mentioned wud happen..So theyre either under the bed, on my desk,or in my buku box.. lovely we are eyh..

the moral of this story : love ur bones, cos theyre a part of u....hahaha..watever..

Thank Him always, cos that smile of yours belongs to Him..

Its exam time..Books are open, but minds are elsewhere..Its the period of time where many become bored, restless, and fidgety..

So to the kitchen we go, and with our creative minds we create..

Two examples of the many creations we've made so far...

Cokodok pisang with Nucreme. Aaah blisss...

1) bananas *of course*

2)Flour / tepung

3) sugar and salt

4) our nucreme.. *sorry gambar terbalik, malas nak edit*

then mix mix mix...

and then, into the pan they go... =)

*yg hitam tu chocolate, bkn hangus ye*

and into the mouth it goes, jgn teka mulut sape tuu..haha..nanti dia marah.. =P

kuih keria pulak..this was a day before our histology practicals..

just some pics of the making..the recipe, well let that be a well kept secret between us aras 4 people.. =)

moral of this story :

Even if tomorrow's exams, or even if all hell breaks lose, dont lose that smile. Dont get too stressed. Life is supposed to be enjoyed, whether tribulations come our way or not..

Play hard, Study harder, Pray even harder..

So when ur down or stressed, and the world's not on ur side, talk to Him, he'll forever be on your side, just waiting to hear even a whisper of gratitude from you..

Only to Him do we confide all our life secrets, no one other than Him..

Thank Him always, cos that smile of yours belongs to Him.. =)
